The Hangman Frames is an experiment in interactive sound and film, written for, and featuring Noel Langley. It was commissioned by the Voices III Festival in Plymouth 2008.

The films were shot by Richard Coldman but the edits happen in realtime within Max/MSP. Film edts and audio manipulations are not completely fixed so each performance is different. The final section sees the player controlling the animation of the film with the attack of the notes, while responding to the graphic score in the animation.
